The LLP Section seeks to serve RMPA members by:
Encouraging and supporting current paralegals and other legal paraprofessionals in their pursuit to LLP licensure;
Educating members as to developments in the roll-out of the LLP profession – including but not limited to educational options, ways to obtain the required experience, and administration milestones such as the application process, testing dates, and deadlines;
Endorsing and advancing the LLP profession by way of advocacy at the Colorado Bar Association, Attorney Regulation Counsel, Colorado universities and institutions, and amongst professionals who work in any family law capacity;
Creating partnerships and brokering positive relationships with law firms, attorneys, Colorado universities and institutions, and other professionals who desire to work alongside, hire, or provide internships to prospective and current LLPs;
Acting as a liaison between the various sections/committees and organizations connected to the LLP profession to ensure a productive flow of information and cooperation; and
Providing ongoing support to LLPs who have achieved licensure, whether their career path is at a law firm or launching their own business.
The LLP Section is excited to provide these services to RMPA members and to advance the LLP profession in Colorado.
