ROCKY MOUNTAIN PARALEGAL ASSOCIATION |
A non-profit organization, The Rocky Mountain Paralegal Association (“RMPA”) was established on October 2, 1973 as the Rocky Mountain Legal Assistants Association for the purpose of organizing and promoting the paralegal profession in the Rocky Mountain region. Representing and serving paralegals throughout Colorado, South Dakota, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, RMPA is an integral part of the legal communities in these states. Employed by law firms, government agencies, and various corporations, RMPA members also serve the legal community by volunteering time to pro bono programs, as speakers at seminars, teaching in paralegal programs, and serving on the boards of various corporations and organizations. As a proud charter member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (“NFPA”), RMPA has a vote in setting the direction of the paralegal profession by participating in the oldest and largest paralegal association in the United States serving over 17,000 members nationwide. All members of RMPA receive automatic membership in NFPA, which also provides many services and benefits to its members including close monitoring and reporting of ongoing legislation and case law affecting paralegals.
