1. Paralegal / Entry Level / Legal Assistant

No experience working at a law firm?  No problem!  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is smart, hardworking, and ambitious, but does not necessarily have legal experience.  Our Entry Level Paralegals help with entry level legal work, such as mail distribution, faxing, scanning, and managing a complex filing system; back up reception; and office administration, including maintaining the office appearance, restocking the break rooms and setting up our conference rooms.  This job provides a great training ground for advancing into one of our more senior paralegal roles.

2. Paralegal / Pre-Litigation

Our pre-litigation paralegals work on cases from the moment we sign up a case to right before we file a petition or complaint.  Working with one or two attorneys, they open cases, speak with clients to answer questions, convey information about the case and ensure clients are in treatment, and help gather necessary case documents, like medical records.

3. Paralegal / Litigation

Once we file a petition or complaint, our Litigation Paralegals take over the paralegal work on a case.  Their responsibilities include, calendaring all case deadlines, assisting with discovery, assisting with scheduling, e-filing documents, and speaking with clients to answer questions and convey information about the case.

4. Paralegal Manager

Our paralegal managers assist in the day-to-day operations of the firm's legal support departments, manage training and development of the legal support team, ensure the legal support departments are performing at a high level and are in compliance with firm policy, troubleshoot and problem solve issues, and assist in complex projects.

5. Legal Assistant / Intake Specialist

Intake Specialists conduct fact-finding interviews with prospective clients to determine if the potential case falls within the scope of our practice areas. If you’re outgoing, great on the phone, and take pride in helping people, this is the job for you!

6. Legal Investigations

Have a curious mind?  Love to solve problems and won’t stop until you find the answer?  If so, investigations is the place for you.  Our investigators work closely with our attorneys and staff on all investigative matters.  They inspect accident scenes, inspect evidence, conduct witness interviews and background checks, draft reports, gather documents like crash reports, and create scene diagrams.  In this role, you must be tech savvy and be willing to be on the road as needed.

7. Executive Assistant

Our CEO/Managing Partner is looking for top-notch EA to provide him administrative and executive support.  Responsibilities include, heavy calendar management, composing and preparing correspondence, ensuring his schedule is followed, helping prepare for meetings, serving as a gatekeeper, attending meetings and taking detailed notes, providing a bridge for smooth communication between the Managing Partner’s office and internal departments, and assisting with special projects as needed. Exceptional organization skills are required for this role.

8. Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will provide business-development guidance and support to our attorneys.  S/he will work directly with our attorneys to develop and execute strategies and business plans; enhance existing relationships and create new ones; and drive new business to the firm.

9. Intake Manager

The Intake Manager will manage multiple aspects of client relations for the law firm as well as the team of intake specialists. This position will often be the first line of contact for potential clients.

Compensation Range: $30,000 to $75,000

Position Description:

Small, collegial, fast-paced Denver office of an international law firm seeks Paralegal with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The Denver office specializes in insurance coverage and defense matters.

Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of discovery, including but not limited to the initial drafting of disclosures, discovery requests, discovery responses, privilege logs, subpoenas, deposition notices, and basic correspondence. Paralegal will be responsible for management of documents including receipt of documents from clients, opposing parties and third parties. Paralegal may handle initial document review and summaries, initial privilege reviews, redaction of documents, bates labeling, and assist with keeping disclosures and privilege logs current. Ability to assist in trial preparation and to attend trials as needed, including drafting of witness and exhibit lists, jury instructions, exhibit notebooks, trial subpoenas, witness management, etc. The Paralegal will also serve as a back-up to the legal administrative assistant for state and federal court filings and calendaring. Thus, familiarity with ICCES, ECF and the applicable state and federal rules of procedures is mandatory.

Qualified candidates must have a Paralegal certificate or be willing to obtain one. Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Pro, and iManage is strongly desired. We also seek individuals with excellent internet research skills and a high comfort level with Westlaw.
