Tech Trends: Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, and Ephemeral Messaging

Presenter: Dr. Gavin W. Manes, Avansic E-Discovery and Digital Forensics

Dr. Manes will discuss several emerging technology trends that effect both the business and the practice of law. He will give a basic overview of cryptocurrency and blockchain, explaining these two concepts in an easy-to-understand method. He will also describe how these two technologies are used in a broader sense as well as how they apply to the legal field. He will also discuss the use of ephemeral messaging in modern business and how to handle it from an e-discovery perspective as well as the legal implications for clients.
