Member Achievement

RMPA is proud to announce that Stefanie M. Trujillo, RMPA Member and VP of Membership has been appointed as a Diversity, Inclusion and Equity (“DI&E”) Committee Member with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA).

I am so honored and thrilled to be appointed as a Diversity, Inclusion and Equity (“DI&E”) Committee Member with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (“NFPA”).

This work is very near and dear to my heart. Being a woman of color, in a predominately male industry for nearly 20 years, has posed many challenges to breaking the glass ceiling. While there has been an increased emphasis of DI &E over the past few years, the legal industry still remains one of the least diverse of any profession.

For me, single number representation is unacceptable. I believe that the legal industry is full of thoughtful leaders, and with the right amount of awareness, tools and action, we can start closing the gap between aspirations and achievements in building a sustaining and inclusive industry.

                                            Congratulations Stefanie!

RMPA Receives Recognition at the NFPA  2019 Annual Convention in Rochester, New York

Every year the NFPA President issues a challenge to its member associations designed to encourage the growth of the Federation and the paralegal profession.

At the 2018 Annual Convention, President Nita Serrano issued a challenge for each member association to add at least 30 new members in the coming year.

Not only did RMPA meet that challenge but exceeded it by far with 148 new members!
