VOLUNTEER WITH RMPA - GAIN LEADERSHIP SKILLS
RMPA
has a long standing objective to provide continuing education to it‘s membership,
and one of those ways to accomplish this is through volunteer opportunities within
RMPA.
Volunteering with RMPA is an opportunity for members to learn and enhance leadership skills, to acquire new skills and improve existing skills. The leadership skills learned while volunteering with RMPA can enhance your value to any firm or organization in which you participate
RMPA has the following key leadership opportunities available:
Pro Bono Coordinator/Committee Chair or Co-Chair
- Coordinates a program of community service and pro bono activities of interest to our members by holding regular committee meetings and obtaining the input of interested members
- Oversees a sub-committee to present an annual Pro Bono Paralegal Luncheon which includes selection and presentation of a “Paralegal of the Year” award
- Provides regular updates for the Pro Bono page on the RMPA website highlighting upcoming community service and pro bono activities and short articles about successful events
Membership Luncheon Committee - Chair or Co-Chair
- Plans and arranges for monthly luncheon speakers to promote the paralegal profession and membership organization
- Arranges catering and presents monthly membership luncheons
- Prepares and sends out a monthly postcard mailing to all members announcing membership luncheons
Real Estate Section Chair
- Promotes continuing education activities for the benefit of members
- Arranges and facilitates an education conference and/or workshops on a periodic basis
- Contacts RMPA members who have indicated an interest in participating on the Education Committee and chairs regular committee meetings
- Prepares articles for publication in the RMPA newsletter regarding the section's educational programs.
